September 5 marks the 40th anniversary of NASA’s launch of Voyager 1 spacecraft. The probe made flybys of Jupiter, Saturn and Saturn's large moon, Titan before diving into the deep space. Voyager 1 is the first man-made object to leave the solar system. NASA will shut down its equipment by around 2015 when the spacecraft finally runs out of fuel.
