Gaspar first foreign bred Persian leopard arrives in Iran for conservation program

Tehran’s Zoological Garden in the capital’s Eram Park has a new member. For the first time a Persian leopard has arrived in Tehran zoo from abroad. Gaspar who is born in captivity in Lisbon zoo with the aim of preventing the endangered species from extinction as well as creating genetic diversity among the few remaining Persian leopards in the world through breeding.
