2017 SEA Games: Schooling wins men's 50M butterfly swimming gold

In the Men’s 50-metre butterfly, Rio Olympic Champion Joseph Schooling of Singapore finished 1st with a record breaking time of 23.06 seconds.

It was the 12th Career SEA Games Gold Medal for the Singaporean, who beat the most decorated Olympian of all time Michael Phelps, to win the 100-metre butterfly at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Indonesia's Gede Sudartawa managed to win gold in the men's 50-metre backstroke, with a new SEA Games record time of 25.20 seconds. Singapore finished 2nd with Vietnam back in 3rd.
