Stoke City have defeated Arsenal 1-0 in the second week of the English Premier League.
The Gunners were the better side from the onset but couldn’t use their chances, with the first half finishing goalless.
Former Real Madrid winger Jese Rodriguez enjoyed a dream start to his Stoke City career after scoring his first goal for the club in the 47th minute. The Spaniard slid-in from a tight angle after being left unmarked to finish-off Saido Berahino's pass.
Arsenal continued to press in the closing stages, but Stoke City remained resolute to earn their first win of the new Premier League season.
