Spacewalking cosmonauts have set free the world’s first satellites made almost entirely with a 3D printer.
The Russian cosmonauts deployed a total of five 'nano-satellites' into space. One by one, the tiny objects tumbled safely away from the International Space Station.
They contain regular electronics, as well as greetings to Earth in a variety of languages. The nano-satellites are between 30 to 60 centimeters in size and vary in shape. They're expected to orbit our planet for five to six months.
