Saudi Arabia's reach to the UN

Yemen bombing

Saudi Arabia's reach to the UN
The news has surprised many: A coalition led by Saudi Arabia which has been bombing Yemen for the past two years, has issued statement that could be interpreted as a sign of growing international pressure on the kingdom and its allies. According to a statement by the coalition, the United Nations should take control of Sana’a airport in order for commercial flights to resume. The statement says: "Should airport management and security be conducted properly, including ensuring the safety of all inbound flights and preventing arms smuggling, joint forces command is prepared to restore normal flight activity”. The announcement was made after 15 aid groups called on warring parties to reopen Sana’a airport. Aid agencies say the two-year conflict has nearly devastated all of the country’s resources making it almost impossible to help the rising number of casualties in the war-torn country.

Monsanto's treacherous practices
The US calls itself the cradle of democracy and human rights. But there has been numerous scandals showing  the capitalist system governing America puts profit above any values including concepts like human rights. The latest instance in a long line of such scandals is multinational American company Monsanto, which reportedly continued to produce and sell toxic industrial chemicals known as PCBs for eight years after learning that they posed hazards to public health. That’s according to a legal analysis of documents put online. More than 20,000 documents have been published regarding the issue, many of them for the first time.
