People in Pakistan still wait for those kidnapped by Taliban

In 2011, 22-year-old student Owais Hussein and his 18-year-old cousin Irfan were travelling on the Thal-Parachinar road in northwest Pakistan when their van was stopped by Taliban militants.

Life in Pakistani’s northwest has been hard since the Taliban militants took over parts of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. Apart from attacking government forces, the militants have repeatedly ambushed and took ordinary people as hostages and only released them after receiving huge ransom money. An affected family has shared its ordeal with Press TV’s correspondent Muhammad Toori. Here’s his report.
