Environmentalists concerned about Uganda palm oil project

An estimated 3,600 hectare of forest land has been destroyed in Uganda in recent years as part of a project to produce palm oil in Uganda.

An estimated 3,600 hectare of forest land has been destroyed in Uganda in recent years as part of a project to produce palm oil in Uganda. The government says the project, among other things, helps tackle poverty. Critics, however, have raised concerns about its impact on environment.
