The United Nations plays a critical role in the manufacture of huge propaganda narrative against Africa in order to preserve the interests of the United States and its allies, says an author.

The United Nations does what the United States wants in terms of issuing reports on African countries, John Steppling told Press TV on Tuesday.

The United States has numerous military bases in Africa and there are several Western mining companies active in the continent; so, “you have no UN report without mentioning Western mining interest,” the author and commentator said.

On Monday, the UN aid chief voiced alarm over possible genocide in the Central African Republic (CAR), which was hit by a fresh wave of clashes between armed groups in recent months.
