German men set new record for longest tennis match

A new World Record for the longest tennis match ever played.

Two German men claim to have broken the Guinness World Record for the longest tennis match ever played.

The match, which lasted 79 hours 52 minutes and 46 seconds, exceeded the previous world record of 64 hours.

The competitors will now submit their evidence to the Guinness World Records authority. The two men were allowed five minutes rest every hour, in order to eat and sleep.

The match, which started on Thursday, ended on Sunday. The four-day event was intended as a way to raise money for a charity, as well as to break the world record.
