Spaniards to get world's longest coastal path

world's longest boardwalk

Spain is working to create what's expected to be the world's longest boardwalk.
The ambitious 163 kilometer coastal path will link towns and cities along the famed Costa del Sol. The uninterrupted boardwalk stretching from Nerja in the east to Manilva on the western coast will provide a safe and accessible way of enjoying the natural view.

The coastal path is being created by linking all the existing seafront town promenades. The flat and even surface will also allow wheelchair users and bikers to get a dose of sea air. The pathway has also environmental benefits. At the Manilva end, it would act as a means of keeping cars out of an area of natural beauty and allows streams to flow out into the Mediterranean.
