Opposition journalists stand trial in Turkey

The trial of 17 reporters and executives from a Turkish opposition newspaper has begun in the city of Istanbul. The defendants are accused of aiding the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party and the Fethullah Gulen movement. Critics of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan consider the case an attack on free speech.
