UNAMA: Civilian casualties on the rise in Afghanistan

A new report released by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan indicates civilian casualties there have increased during the first six months of the year 2017 compared with the same period last year. Armed conflicts in Afghanistan have claimed the lives of more than 16-hundred civilians from January 1 to June 30, 2017.
