US green light to Yemen war escalation

A new report has shed light on what many would see as the US hypocrisy regarding the Saudi-led war on Yemen. The report reveals that Washington doubled its fuel support for the bombing campaign against Yemen after the huge airstrike on a funeral ceremony last October. The attack killed over 130 people. US Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna of California has criticized the refueling of the Saudi-led warplanes saying: “From a strategic perspective, it makes no sense. From a moral perspective, we ought not to be contributing to refueling to flights that are causing civilian deaths and are devastating the infrastructure of a society.” Some read the latest revelation which further implicates the US in the war on Yemen as a sign that Washington wants the war on Yemen to continue.

Chemical weapons test on US soldiers

Their existence has gone unacknowledged for decades; but now calls are growing stronger for a full public inquiry and compensation for the victims. Back in the 1960s and early 70s, the US army conducted several secret tests using chemical and biological weapons in Vietnam. The purpose was to develop a response plan in case of a chemical weapons attack on US soldiers. The agents included Sarin and VX and bacteria such as E Coli. But the tests codenamed as Project 112 and SHAD (Or Shipboard Hazard and Defense) exposed some 6,000 service members to the deadly agents. Now the veterans are demanding justice for their years of suffering and misery.
