Dutch company offers personal luxury submarine
A Netherlands-based startup is offering luxury submarine capable of carrying up to 12 passengers.
The Neyk, a collaboration between Ocean Submarine and Rolls-Royce, is currently being built in the Netherlands with the first prototype expected to be out in January 2018.
It has an airplane-style cabin complete with leather seats, a restaurant, a galley, and a library.
It’s makers say the vessel is as agile as a shark with a virtually noiseless engine.
The submarine’s lighting and air conditioning systems will be custom-designed for each client’s specific needs.
It can plunge to depths of up to 500 meters and speeds of 28 kilometers per hour.
