4-time F1 champion Sebastian Vettel has defeated his Ferrari teammate Kimi Raikkonen to win the Monaco Grand Prix.

Raikkonen, who started on pole for the first time in nine years, lost the lead in the pit stops on Sunday but made sure of a Ferrari 1/2.

With the triumph, Vettel extended his Formula 1 championship lead to 25 points, over Lewis Hamilton who finished 7th in the race.

The German also became first Ferrari driver since Michael Schumacher in 2001 to win the showcase Monaco Grand Prix.

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo finished 3rd ahead of Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas. This was also Vettel’s 3rd win of the season and 45th of his career.
