The Boston Celtics have progressed into the Eastern Conference finals after defeating he the visiting Washington Wizards 115-105 in the Deciding Game 7 at the TD Garden.
Boston started the match as the better side on Monday and went ahead by four points by the end of the 1st period. But Washington found their rhythm and style in the 2nd frame as they outscored the hosts 32-26 to snatch the lead with two points at the Intermission.
The Celtics, however, were tremendous in the 3rd, Isaiah Thomas knocked down three straight threes to put his side back in front late in the period. And in the 4th frame, Thomas himself stretched Boston’s advantage to 13 points by burying a deep three-pointer.
The hosts continued their fine play throughout the rest of the match and won the game with 10 points to advance to the Eastern Conference finals.
