Mashhad; Capital of Muslim World:

In the holy city of Mashad in the north-east of Iran, the eighth Shia Imam was laid to rest. Hence, Mashhad is the most frequented pilgrimage site in Iran. But the sanctity of this city is not confined to Iran alone. In early 2017, Mashhad was named as the cultural capital of the Muslim World. 

Lorestan Cuisine

People of different countries have different culinary tastes. And that has a lot to do with the climate of a region. So, in a country like Iran with so much climatic diversity, you can imagine there’s lots of different diets here. In Iran’s Lorestan Province for example, juicy meat chunks are a favorite and most often on the table for lunch, dinner and even breakfast.
