Amnesty Intl. slams arrests for carrying Soviet symbols in Ukraine

Amnesty International criticized Ukraine for infringing on the freedom of speech.

Amnesty International has criticized Ukraine for what it calls infringing on the freedom of speech and assembly of its citizens. The criticism follows the detention of demonstrators who carried Soviet symbols during a ceremony marking the anniversary of the victory over Nazism. The rights group says Kiev is intentionally trying to erase symbols of its Soviet past. Press TV’s Lena Savchuk has the details.
