Brazil ex-president da Silva appears in court over corruption

Brazil's leftist former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has given his first direct testimony before a federal court on corruption charges. Both supporters and opponents of the former president gathered outside the court in the city of Curitiba where the testimony was held. Lula has called the trial a farce.
