The San Antonio Spurs have taken a 3-2 series lead over the Memphis Grizzlies, beating their visitors 116-103, in Game 5 at the AT&T Center.
It was neck and neck in the first quarter on Tuesday as it ended 23-23. In the second quarter, Patty Mills's three-pointer put San Antonio in front 28-25, and the hosts went on to finish the first half with a six-point advantage.
The Spurs then extended their lead to 16 points in the 3rd when Mills made it 77-61 with a layup. And, with another big three-pointer by Mills in the fourth frame, the home side led 109-97 and went on to win the contest with 13 points, to grab the 3-2 lead in the playoffs. Game 6 will be played in Memphis on Thursday night.
