Chelsea have restored their lead at the top of the English Premier League, after defeating Southampton 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Belgian striker Eden Hazard found the opener as early as the 5th minute. And then, former Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu netted for the Saints in the 24th minute to level the match at 1-0.

Chelsea made it 2-1 in the first half stoppage time through Gary Cahill’s header. Spanish forward Diego Costa confirmed Chelsea's supremacy with a header early in the second half, before scoring his second with a low shot.

Ryan Bertrand pulled one back for Southampton in the dying minutes, but the victory was already secured for the London Blues.
