Arsenal have managed to grab an extra-time 2-1 win over Manchester City in the English FA cup semifinals at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Serkhio Aguero scored his 30th goal of the season for City in the 63rd minute by racing away to a pass from Yaya Toure. But, their joy didn't last long as Nacho Monreal equalized for Arsenal 9 minutes later from a cross.

Alexis Sanchez then scored the winner in the 11th minute of extra time to seal the deal for Arsene Wenger’s side. The gunners will next play Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembly on May the 27th and are looking to lift the trophy for the third time in the last 4 years.

Meanwhile, in the English Premier League Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney both scored first-half goals to help Manchester United beat Burnley 2-nil at Turf Moor to close in on the top 4.

On Sunday, Martial opened the scoring for United in the 21st minute, breaking decisively from midfield and then finishing in style after a swift exchange with Ander Herrera.

Rooney then doubled the advantage 18 minutes later when he pounced on the ball and knocked it into the back of the net from close range to score his first goal since January.

The victory moved Man-U within 1 point of 4th-placed Manchester City, ahead of their eagerly anticipated derby match at City's Etihad Stadium on Thursday evening.
