Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney both scored first-half goals to help Manchester United beat Burnley 2-0 at Turf Moor on Sunday to close in on the top four in the English Premier League.
Anthony Martial opened the scoring for United in the 21st minute, breaking decisively from midfield and then finishing in style after swift exchange with Ander Herrera.
Rooney then doubled the advantage 18 minutes later when he pounced on the ball and knocked it into the back of the net from close range, being his first goal since January.
The convincing victory moved Man United within one point of fourth-placed Manchester City, ahead of their eagerly anticipated derby match at City's Etihad Stadium on Thursday evening.
