The Golden State Warriors have defeated the visiting Portland Trail Blazers 121-109 in game 1 of the first-round play-off series.
The hosts led 31-27 at the end of the first quarter but the 2 sides went to the locker room tied at 56 apiece at the break.
The Warriors took control in the 3rd and final quarters and topped the Trail Blazers with 12 points at the end to take a 1-nothing lead in the best-of-seven-series encounter.
Kevin Durant scored 32 points for the Warriors while McCollum scored 41 for the Trailblazers.
Golden State will host game 2 as well, which will be held on Wednesday.
