Canada, USA, Mexico announce joint bid for 2026 World Cup

Canada, the US and Mexico have announced that they intend to make a joint bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.


The 3 CONCACAF Champions League member associations made the announcement in New York on Monday.

If successful, it would be the very first World Cup to have 3 host nations. The 2026 event will also be the first World Cup to feature 48 teams after FIFA agreed to expand the tournament from 32.
