Barcelona's title hopes have suffered a huge blow after losing 2-0 away to Malaga.

Barca, who were given a boost after Real's 1-1 draw with Atletico, failed to take advantage of the precious opportunity and instead conceded a goal in the 32nd minute when Sandro Ramirez slotted a low shot past the keeper to make it 1-0 for the hosts.

Things got even worse for the visitors after the break as they were reduced to 10 men when Neymar was shown a red card for fouling Diego Llorente.

Malaga took advantage and doubled their lead in stoppage time through Jony as Barcelona missed the chance to go to the top La Liga’s table with the untimely defeat.
