The Tampa Bay Lightning have thrashed the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1 in the NHL.

At the Air Canada Centre, the visiting Lightning got on the scoresheet first in the second period when Brayden Point scored a power play goal to give his side a 1-nothing lead.

However, the maple leafs managed to equalize in the middle period on Nazem Kadri's 32nd goal so far this season.

A few minutes later Russian Nikita Kucherov scored for the Lightning. Michael Bournival and once again Brayden netted the puck to extend the Lightning's comfortable position, 4-1 the final score.
