English Premier League leaders Chelsea have taken a huge step towards winning the title by narrowly defeating Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The London Blues couldn’t have asked for a better start on Wednesday as they went ahead after just 10 minutes when Eden Hazard scored with a powerful strike that took a slight deflection off  Man City’s keeper.

Sergio Aguero however, managed to level the scoring about 16 minutes later when Chelsea’s keeper made a poor clearance by sending the ball straight to David Silva. He managed to save Silva’s effort but Aguero was on hand to tap in his 27th goal of the season.

The home side then won a penalty in the 35th minute and Hazard stepped up and converted in his second attempt after Caballero saved his initial effort.
