Newly released footage shows the Syrian army targeting Daesh terrorists and other Takfiri militants in several areas across the Arab country.

Syrian government forces clashed with Daesh terrorists in the eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr, U-News reported on Wednesday. The terrorists suffered heavy casualties in the clashes.

The Syrian forces also killed and injured a number of Takfiri militants in the road connecting Ghariyah to Saida in the countryside of Dara’a in southwestern Syria.

Meanwhile, the Syrian army ambushed Daesh terrorists in the highway connecting Dara'a to Suwayda. An unspecified number of terrorists were killed and wounded in the operation.

Syria has been gripped by foreign-sponsored militancy since March 2011. United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura estimates that over 400,000 people have been killed in the conflict. The UN has stopped its official casualty count, citing its inability to verify the figures it receives from various sources.
