Timberwolves edge past Trail Blazers 110-109

The Minnesota Timberwolves have narrowly edged past the Portland Trail Blazers 110-109 to snap Portland’s six-game winning streak in the NBA.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 34 points and 12 rebounds for Timberwolves, while Andrew Wiggins scored 29 points and Ricky Rubio had 11 points, 16 assists and 7 rebounds for the winning side.

Up next, the Trail Blazers travel to Utah to meet the Jazz on Tuesday, while the Timberwolves head to the Bay Area to play the Golden State Warriors.
