Federer beats Nadal to win Miami Open title

18-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer has defeated his old rival Rafael Nadal in straight sets to lift the Miami Open title. 

The 35-year old Swiss looked in dominant Form on Sunday. He grabbed a 5-3 lead after Nadal returned his backhand into the net. Federer had no trouble holding the next game to take the opening set 6-3.

It was more or less the same scenario in the 2nd, but a closer affair saw Federer clinch the set 6-4, to take the victory in just under 2 hours and win his 3rd Miami Title.

Federer is enjoying an outstanding start to the season, and since returning from a 6-month lay-off, he has won the Australian Open and the Indian Wells.
