The technology giant, Google, is about to launch its Home smart speaker in the UK.

The Wi-Fi speaker works as a smart control center and uses Google search as well as maps, Gmail and other Google services to help users manage everyday tasks.

It is able to filter and separate speech from noise, allowing users to ask Google anything they want.

Google Home has been launched to compete with Echo, developed by Google’s rival, Amazon. It is set to be launched in the UK on April 6th and costs about 160 dollars.

Google says the speaker has been fitted with some uniquely British traits, including the ability to joke about train delays.

Google Home owners will also be able to use the device to control other smart home products, including light bulbs and thermostats.
