Spain’s Rafael Nadal has booked his spot in the 3rd round of the Miami Open by overcoming Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany 2-1 in his 1000 career match at the Crandon Park.
The 14-time grand slam champion started the match very poorly on Monday as he lost the first set 6-Love to his German rival. But, Nadal came back and won the next 2 sets to clinch his 822nd career victory Love-6, 6-2, 6-3.
The Spaniard will next take on France's Nicolas Mahut, who beat Argentine Guido Pella 6-4, 6-3.
