French woman with Down Syndrome fulfills dream of presenting the weather on TV

There are many people with disabilities out there who inspire us by fulfilling their dreams. This young Frenchwoman is no exception.

21-year-old Melanie Segard has Down syndrome. But she didn't let that stop her from pursuing her lifelong ambition of presenting the weather on television. Apparently, her dream came true when she was given the chance to do just that in real time on a French national TV.

She was trained for four days with the channel’s weather team to prepare herself for the debut. Melanie’s story has been covered extensively on French media and shared widely on social media.
