The visiting Washington Wizards have managed to edge past the Portland Trail Blazers by only a single point, at 125-124 in overtime at the Moda Center.

Portland were in good form in the first frame and took a 36-30 lead by the end of the period. The hosts then carried their momentum into the second quarter and outscored the visitors 34-19 to extend their advantage to 21 points at the intermission.

However, Washington stormed back in the 3rd and 4th quarters and won both periods 33-21, and 30-21 respectively, to send the match into overtime.

And with only 0.4 seconds left in extra time, Markieff Morris hit a baseline jumper to lift the Wizards to a 125-124 victory over the Trail Blazers, and hand Washington their 5th consecutive victory.
