Novak Djokovic has reached the second round of the Mexican Open after beating Martin Klizan 2 sets to love.

The Serbian World No. 2 started his debut in Acapulco with a 6-3, 7-6 victory over his Slovak rival on Tuesday.

Djokovic had 4 break points to snatch the first set but his dominance diminished in the second as Klizan fought really hard.

But, the 12-time grand slam winner clinched the match point after a 6-6 tie. The Serb hadn't played competitively since his surprise upset at the hands of Denis Istomin in the 2nd round of the Australia Open tournament.
