Mexico Open: Goffin beats Robert in straight sets
Belgium's David Goffin has booked his spot in the 2nd round of the Mexico Open, following a Straight Sets Victory over Stephane Robert of France.
Goffin showed a flawless performance in Acapulco and powered past Robert with an impressive scoreline of 6-1, 6-2, in just 54 minutes on Monday.
The Belgian is one of the favorites to win in Acapulco along with Serbian Novak Djokovic and the King of Clay Rafael Nadal.
He’ll next play either American Sam Querrey or British Kyle Edmund.
