Iraqi forces have regained control over the strategic Mosul International Airport. The operation to clear the airport from Daesh-left IEDs is still underway as Iraqi forces are planning to build up on their victory to advance on nearby residential neighborhoods. Baghdad announced the key operation to liberate Mosul’s western flank from Daesh terrorists last Sunday. Press TV’s Altaf Ahmad is accompanying the Iraqi army and has filed this report from the Mosul battleground.
