Europa League: Ansarifard sends Olympiacos to round 16

Greek champions Olympiacos have progressed into the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 after humiliating Turkish club Osmanlıspor 3-0, courtesy of two goals from Iranian star Karim Ansarifard.

With the first leg ending goalless in Greece, and following a goalless first half on Thursday, Iran’s marksman Ansarifard struck the opener just after the interval with a close range effort, before Tarik Elyounoussi headed home to double the visitor’s advantage.

Four minutes from time, the Iranian was on target for the second time to make sure his side cruised into the next round of the competition with a deserved 3-0 victory.
