Austria's Dominic Thiem has cruised into the quarter finals of the Rio Open following a straight sets win over Serbia's Dušan Lajović.
Dominic showed a flawless performance at the Jockey Club and won his second round match against the Serbian with a score line of 6-2, 7-5 on Wednesday.
The Austrian is now the clear favorite to win his eighth ATP singles title after top-seeded Kei Nishikori was knocked out by Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci in the first round.
Dominic Team will now face Diego Schwartzman, who advanced with a straight sets victory over fellow Argentine Federico Delbonis.
