The prestigious museum of Louvre in Paris is preparing to hold a special exhibition of Dutch paintings from the Renaissance era with the help of an avid collector.

The glass pyramid of Louvre will house the artworks of revolutionary Dutch painters such as Ferdinand Bol and Rembrandt for two months. Louvre owes this scheduled exhibition of some 250 paintings, to American billionaire collector Thomas Kaplan who is one of most prominent Rembrandt collectors of the world and his wife.

Almost all the paintings in this collection were taken from the private domain and as to put it back into the hands of the public. The collector sees his contribution as a means of unifying people at times of despair.

The exhibit will open on February 22nd and end in March. The masterpieces will then go on a tour of displays from Eastern Asia to the Middle East.
