Pakistan extends Afghan refugees stay but tightens rules

The Pakistani government has issued an order that permits over 1.4 million Afghan refugees to stay in the country till the end of this year. The decree, however, calls for the strict implementation of immigration laws along the Pakistani border with Afghanistan to prevent undocumented refugees from sneaking into the country.
