Pakistani tribes call for abolition of ‘black law’

Pakistan gained independence from Britain in 1947. But it retains the British-era legal system in its tribal areas. A large rally has been held in Islamabad by tribesmen who demand the government put an end to the implementation of the quote-draconian laws which date back to a century ago.
