In the NHL, the Toronto Maple Leafs have posted a hard-fought, yet valuable, 6-5 win over the visiting Boston Bruins.

Boston took an early lead before conceding four goals, three of them coming from William Nylander. But the Bruins regrouped and rallied from a 4-1 deficit to tie it at 5-all.

The Maple Leafs however, had the final say as James van Riemsdyk scored twice, including the game-winning goal with less than two minutes remaining to seal victory.
