In the NBA, the Washington Wizards have registered a 116-108 win over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers with the help of John Wall who contributed 33 points.

Washington, who were seeking for sixth straight win, started the match as the better side on Thursday and went ahead by 2 points by the end of the first period.

The Wizards then extended their advantage to 14 points in the second frame as they outscored the visitors 27-15 to finish the first half 58-44.

Los Angeles, however, found their rhythm and style in the third and fourth quarters and won both periods with a score-line of 35-32 and 29-26 respectively. But that was just not enough as the host won the game 116-108 at the Verizon Center.
