NBA: Cavaliers rout Timberwolves 125-97

The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 125-97 in the NBA.

On Wednesday, The defending NBA champions Cleveland Cavaliers were the hosts at Quicken Loans Arena. Timberwolves had started the first quarter pretty good, but the Cavaliers gradually took control of the game and led 36-32 at the end of the first quarter.

The hosts narrowly won the second quarter and ended the first half 63-60. The Cavaliers also easily won in the third and fourth quarters to end the match with the victory.

LeBron James scored 27 points, Tristan Thompson had 18 and 14 rebounds for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Meanwhile Karl-Anthony Towns scored 26 points, 12 rebounds and Andrew Wiggins added 23 for the Timberwolves. The Cleveland Cavaliers will next visit New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
