Ban’s exit shakes up S Korean presidential race

The bitter departure of former United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon from the presidential race has shaken up South Korean politics. Ban's early and frequent missteps and brewing bribery scandals dented his political capital. Now the next president of South Korea looks even more certain to be a liberal progressive with vastly different policies toward the US and North Korea.
