The Los Angeles Lakers have snapped a three-game losing streak with a 120-116 victory over the visiting Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.
The teams were tied at 30 at the end of the 1st quarter at the Staples Center. The Nuggets won the 2nd period 29-24 to lead 59-54 at halftime. But, it was the Lakers who did better after the break and led 81-76 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
The visitors had the final frame 40-39, but couldn’t overcome LA’s lead and eventually went down with four points. Nick Young scored 23 points and Lou Williams added 21 for the Lakers, as Wilson Chandler had 26 points and 9 rebounds for the Nuggets, with Gary Harris and Danilo Gallinari each contributing 17 points.
Denver will next entertain the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday and the Lakers will be in Washington on Friday to meet the Wizards.
