La Liga leaders Real Madrid have crashed out of the Copa del Rey after drawing 2-2 with Celta Vigo in the quarterfinals’ second leg at the Balaidos stadium and losing 4-3 on aggregate.

The hosts went ahead 1 minute before the break on Wednesday through Danilo who scored on a rebound to make it 1-0. But, Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo leveled the scoring at 1-all after restart as he smashed his free-kick into the left side of the goal with a fine strike as Real were still trailing by a single goal on aggregate.

Daniel Wass then killed the visitors’ hopes of progressing into the next round by slotting the ball into the bottom-right corner from 18 yards to make it 4-2 on aggregate for Vigo.

Lucas Vazquez, however, tied the match at 2-apiece in the last minute but that was not enough as the hosts progressed 4-3 on aggregate to reach the semis for the 2nd straight year.
